Claudia is the CEO of Windmill Microlending, an organization that reduces poverty and labour shortages by helping immigrants and refugees restart their careers in Canada. Since 2005, Windmill has empowered thousands of clients triple their incomes by offering affordable loans and supports.
Before Windmill, Claudia co-founded and ran NEXT Canada, a charity designed to develop high-impact entrepreneurs. She previously built a program to improve educational opportunities for children living in poverty.
Claudia is also active in the private sector as a board member, advisor and investor. During her time on the board of the Kids & Company, it grew from a start-up into Canada’s largest childcare company.
Claudia currently serves on the board of the LCBO and of SickKids Foundation and is a member of the C.D. Howe Institute’s Human Capital Council. Claudia is a recipient of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal for her contributions to the non-profit sector.
